I am probably the last twenty-something male in the U.S. to have heard the big news, but it has come to my attention that they are in the works of producing a new live-action recreation of the one and only 80's franchise closest to my childhood heart:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
When I read the news I was reminded of that butterflies-in-the-stomach excited sensation I had one Saturday morning when I first saw the preview for the original big-screen TMNT movie. To this day every time I watch a film or trailer that begins with the "new line cinema" logo I instinctively have that reaction. Don't get me wrong, I know this movie (if they actually follow through with making it) will be a let down of sorts, but that doesn't stop my anticipation that this may finally be the film that portrays the long-overdue badassitude they originally exemplified.
AND, I would very much appreciate it if they put me in charge of the soundtrack this time around.
Go ninja go ninja go!

wellthat's exciting and the new line cinema logo always reminds mitch and I of tmnt. I remember mom didn't like that raph said the "d" word a couple times in the movie, and Mitch and I always talk about the folly of the rap that says raph was the leader of the pack, we all know that's turtle heresy!!!
It was turtle heresy, mc hammer should have done his homework. Everyone knew that Raphael was 'rude'. (hence the use of the the 'd' word)
